Recent advances in novel functional nanomaterials-based oil/water separation techniques

نویسندگان

چکیده

The increasing amount of oily wastewater discharges caused major challenges for current environmental issues, such as oil-water purification and separation [1-6] . Thus, the development new functional materials efficient treatment is imperative [7-11] This paper reviewed recently developed technologies, which were based on novel nanomaterials, presented representative works in detail. Finally, future research directions this area briefly discussed.

Recent advances in microscale separation.

This review focuses on the recent advances on microscale separation technology, particularly on the new development on column and detection technologies in electrophoretic and chromatographic separation modes (i.e., CE, CEC, cLC, etc.). Representative examples illustrate also applications on the small molecules, peptides, proteins, polysaccharides, chiral and so on. 246 relevant articles are ci...

Advances in affinity ligand-functionalized nanomaterials for biomagnetic separation.

The downstream processing of proteins remains the most significant cost in protein production, and is largely attributed to rigorous chromatographic purification protocols, where the stringency of purity for biopharmaceutical products sometimes exceeds 99%. With an ever burgeoning biotechnology market, there is a constant demand for alternative purification methodologies, to ameliorate the depe...

Recent Advances in Nanomaterials for Gene Delivery—A Review

With the rapid development of nanotechnology in the recent decade, novel DNA and RNA delivery systems for gene therapy have become available that can be used instead of viral vectors. These non-viral vectors can be made of a variety of materials, including inorganic nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes, liposomes, protein and peptide-based nanoparticles, as well as nanoscale polymeric materials. The...

Recent Advances in Hemophilia Gene Therapy

Heterogeneous loss of function mutations at F8 and F9 genes causes X-linked recessive bleeding disorders, hemophilia A (HA) and hemophilia B (HB), respectively. HA is clinically indistinguishable from HB and accounts for more than 80% of hemophilia cases; the former affects 1/5000 and the latter 1/25000 male births worldwide. In Iran, it is estimated that around 4300 HA and 900 HB patients are ...
